Increase in Waste Collection and Disposal Charges

Increase in Waste Collection and Disposal Charges

From the 1st July, 2015, the waste collection and disposal charges will be increased. The current charges were set over 8 years ago, and have not increased despite rising operational costs. Due to inflation and other factors such as the price of oil, WAL conducted a full tariff review. From the review, WAL determined that the commercial rates currently being charged will rise in line with CPI cost increases since the rates were set. The price reset is a revenue neutral exercise to allow WAL’s revenues to cover its rising core operational costs.

The collection and disposal fees for households remains unchanged at $10 per month.
